Graduate Opportunities:
Knowles Science Teaching Foundation is offering Science and Mathematics Teaching Fellowships for those with a degree in physical science or engineering. The Fellowship provides both financial and professional support for up to five years, including tuition assistance and a stipend while Fellows participate in a recognized teacher credential program. DOSECC internships promote student involvement in projects where drilling has provided data and materials for study. Students can undertake research related to ongoing or past drilling efforts. Internship funding will be available in the summer of 2005. Applications must be received by March 1, 2005, and awardees will be announced April 1, 2005.

The University of Tennessee at Martin is looking for an assistant Professor of Geology (Tenure Track) to begin the 2005-2006 school year. Potential candidates must demonstrate an ability to teach structural geology, igneous/metamorphic petrology, and mineralogy.
