Research Field Station Assistant, Glacial Park. Spend the summer doing restoration work in the beautiful Midwest. This job involves 40 - 50 hours a week of brush removal, herbicide, exotic weed control, seed collection, planting, nursery operation and maintenance, wildlife management, wetland and stream restoration, biological analyses, soil/ecosystem surveys, educational exhibits, and visitor interactions. You must have a valid driver’s license. The internship lasts from mid-May to late August, and includes a $150/week stipend, college credit, and free housing. IRIS Undergraduate Internship Program - This internship sounds totally cool and it pays well. Spend 5 12 weeks this summer doing seismological research, either in the field or in the lab, and earn $400/week plus reimbursement for travel expenses.
